S7 Airlines je treća po veličini ruska vazduhoplovna komapnija. Predvodnik putničkog saoraćaja na domaćem tržištu. Sa sedištem u Moskvi u međunarodnoj vazdušnoj luci Domodedovo, formira regionalna čvorišta u Novosibirsku i Irkutsku.S7 Airlines je osnovana u maju 1992. kao ruska državna vazduhoplovna kompanija, utemeljena na odvajanju sibirske podružnice Aeroflot-Novosibirsk od matične kompanije pod imenom Sibir Airlines.
Prelomna godina za «Sibir airlines» je bila 2006-a: na njenoj bazi i poslovnim jedinicama osnovana je grupa kompanija«S7 Group». U svezi s tim događajem aviokompanija je iznenadila, ne samo putnike, nego i kolege i konkurente rebrandingom i smelom obojenošću aviona. Skromni beli trup i plavi rep aviona kompanije su postali svetlo-zeleni sa crveno-belim logom praktično novog prevoznika — «S7 Airlines». U 2010. godini aviokompanija «S7 Airlines» je postala punopravni član međunarodnog saveza avio prevoznika «Oneworld».
Kompanija S7 Airlines raspolaže sa flotom od 65 aviona iz porodice Boeing I Airbus. u njihovoj floti se nalazi 19 aviona tipa Airbus A319-100, 19 aviona Airbus A320-200, 6 aviona Airbus A321-200, 19 aviona Boeing 737-800, 2 aviona Boeing 767-300ER i 1 avion Embraer E-170. Kompanija za sada ima poručenih 48 aviona iz porodice Airbus i Boeing.
