Boston - javni prevoz

Javnim prevozom u Bostonu upravlja kompanija Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority ili MBTA, poznatiji kao "T". Dok hodate ulicama Bostona, videćete znak koji se ponavlja periodično, beli krug sa Bold Black T slovom u sredini. Ovi znaci se nalaze na mnogih T pristupnim tačaka širom grada Bostona.

Metro

T obuhvata faktički pet metro linija, crvena, narandžasta, plava i Silver Lines I  zelena linija . Sve ove linije su označene bojama i veoma se lako prepoznaju. Metro servis T radi manje  vikendom, posebno nedeljom, ali u toku nedelje je generalno veoma pouzdan i efikasan, posebno imajući u vidu veliki broj putnika kojima sistem T pruža svaki svaki dan. Tokom velikih  događaja, kao što su Red Sox games u Fenvai Parku ili konferencija i konvencija,  T sistem je obično spreman sa još više usluga.  Metro počinje da radi svakog jutra između 5:00 i 5:30 časova, u zavisnosti od linije, i nastavlja se do 1:00 čas posle ponoći. Međutim, poslednji "dolazni" voz može biti već 12:15 am, u zavisnosti od stanica. Imajte na umu da  T ne radi po fiksnom rasporedu, tako da iako je tipično pouzdan, mogu postojati kašnjenja koja vam mogu napraviti problema ako treba da stignete negde na vreme. Građevinski projekti mogu izazvati kašnjenja na delovima metroa tokom vikenda, naročito sa Green Line severno od Vladinog centra, tako da unapred proverite veb-sajt T za vikend putovanja. Uprkos nekim svojim nedostatcima T je najbolji način da dođete do aerodroma i iskoristiti besplatne šatl autobuse, vođene od strane T, te stignete na sve terminale.

Gradski autobusi

Pored metro sistema, MBTA vodi autobuski prevoz sa linijama koje idu skoro svuda po gradu.Autobuski sistem može biti malo teži za snalaženje, ali rasporedi linija su dostupni  na većini metro stanica. Na svim autobuskim stajalištima obično su postavljeni  znaci. Autobusi rade po rasporedu, tako da je najbolje da pogledate raspored pre nego što krenete na sajtu T. Dobro je pitati vozača autobusa da li autobus ide tamo gde želite da odete, što može biti od pomoći. Silver Line

Silver Line linija iz centra Bostona do South Bostonand Roxbury, jedna od najvažnijih linija za putnike, iz Južne stanice do Logan Aerodroma. Silver Line obezbeđije udobnu vožnju sa dovoljno prostora za prtljag do aerodroma Logan ili od aerodroma do Bostona.Ova linija može biti pogodnije od Blue Line do Airport Station a odatle jednim od Logan šatl autobusa. Najbolje pre nego što stignete malo proučite mapu I izaberite najjednostavniji način prevoza.
